Quality and Continuous Improvement Policy
v1.4
Purpose. Describes how GreenLoop assures the quality of its products, data and reports and how continuous improvement is organised across the business.
1.Commitment
GreenLoop will supply compost and recovered materials that meet the relevant Australian Standard and customer specification, monitoring data that is accurate and traceable, and reports that are defensible. The business will improve its processes continuously using competitive systems and practices with the people who do the work.
2.Product quality
Compost and soil products must be tested to the product certification scheme before release and the test records must be kept for every batch. Baled recovered materials must meet the buyer's specification for contamination and moisture and must be sampled at the frequency in the bale quality work instruction.
3.Data quality
Monitoring and sustainability data must be collected using documented methods, calibrated instruments and chain of custody, checked by a second person before reporting and stored in the systems where they can be traced back to the field record or the source document.
4.Continuous improvement
Every site will maintain a visual board showing its key measures, its current improvement actions and its 5S status. Improvement actions must be recorded in the improvement register with an owner, a due date and a measured benefit. Teams will use standardised problem-solving tools and will update the standard work document when an improvement is proven.
- 5S in every work area with monthly audits
- Standardised work for every routine task
- Visual management boards reviewed at the start of each shift
- Structured problem-solving for every repeat loss or defect
- Value stream mapping for every major process each year
5.Responsibilities
The Operational Excellence Lead coordinates the program and reports benefits at management review. Site managers own the improvement actions for their sites. Every worker must contribute ideas, take part in improvement activities and follow the standard work once it is agreed.
6.Review
This policy will be reviewed annually with the results of internal audits, customer feedback and improvement benefits.
